Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, working night shifts with at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience required.

Details

• Work setting is a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (MED/SURG A5) within a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center
• Unit is part of the Medical Surgical Combination 2 department
• Patient population includes all ages
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required as needed
• Floating to similar Med/Surg units may be required as needed
• EMR: Meditech
• Medication dispensing via Omnicell

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• IV insertion experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Orientation takes place weekly on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• All candidates must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
