Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring a minimum of 1 year of MS/Tele experience.
Details
- Works on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit (MED/SURG A5) within a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center
- Patient population spans all ages
- MS/Tele experience and IV insertion skills are required for this role
- Meditech EHR is used on this unit
- Medications are dispensed via Omnicell
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend requirement
- On-call and float requirements as needed, with possibility to float to similar Med/Surg units
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license — TN state license or Compact license required
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience required
- IV insertion experience required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Additional Information
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start — results required before starting
- All required certifications must be in hand prior to the assignment start date; AHA-issued certifications are required
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full time elsewhere are not eligible
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
