Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring a minimum of 1 year of MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Works on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit (MED/SURG A5) within a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center
• Patient population spans all ages
• MS/Tele experience and IV insertion skills are required for this role
• Meditech EHR is used on this unit
• Medications are dispensed via Omnicell
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• On-call and float requirements as needed, with possibility to float to similar Med/Surg units
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience required
• IV insertion experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start — results required before starting
• All required certifications must be in hand prior to the assignment start date; AHA-issued certifications are required
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full time elsewhere are not eligible
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
