Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care facility in Ogden, UT.

Details

  • Ultrasound department in an acute care hospital setting
  • Patient population spans all ages including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Procedures include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, and vascular ultrasound examinations
  • Charting via Epic EMR
  • 4x10-hour night shifts, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Tuesday through Friday

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience required
  • ARRT (RT) or ARDMS certification required; ARDMS must include at least one specialty registry beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, or vascular)
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to start date
  • Active license required if applicable
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction for identification of abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis
  • Responsible for proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to exams
  • Must follow ACR guidelines for all exams and maintain compliance with medical necessity, coding, charging, and consent protocols
  • Completes thorough documentation including time stamps and image storage
  • Maintains quality control standards and reports equipment failures or issues
  • Candidates who have been permanent staff at an Intermountain facility must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
  • Epic charting experience preferred
