Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with ARRT certification in Radiology and Mammography for a 13-week day shift contract in Colorado.

• Day shift schedule
• Diagnostic imaging department focused on women's health and breast imaging
• Performs mammography and diagnostic imaging procedures
• May be required to assist in other imaging modalities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Current ARRT certification in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
• Current BLS certification
• State license required if applicable
• 2 years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist preferred
• Cross-training in CT, MRI, or DEXA is preferred
• Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems is preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Additional Information

• Oversees daily operations of the women's health section of radiology, including QA, preventive maintenance scheduling, and FDA compliance for the mammography section
• Maintains accreditation records, audit reporting systems, and statistical tracking for workflow resolution
• Verifies exam orders, reviews patient medical history, obtains informed consent, and ensures all necessary documentation is complete prior to radiologist interpretation
• Maintains accurate patient records in EHR, including procedure charging and supply documentation
• Assists with training, cross-training, and development of imaging staff members
• Demonstrates flexibility with schedule adjustments, call shifts, and holiday coverage as needed
• Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory
