Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.
Details
- Outpatient clinic MRI setting
- Performs general MRI examinations across a variety of modalities including implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI
- Primary schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM–9:00 PM; 4x10 or 3x12 shift configurations may also be considered
- Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required on a rotating basis; on weeks with a Saturday shift, one weekday shift is dropped to maintain 40 hours
- No on-call requirement
- May float between two outpatient clinic locations
- Siemens MRI equipment experience required
- Charting in Epic; Sectra experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
- Current BLS (AHA only) required
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state license is not required, though license required if applicable
- Radiation badge required and must be provided by the candidate's agency prior to start
- Experience with general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
- Siemens equipment experience required
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols for physician interpretation, under general supervision of the site supervisor and radiology manager
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates within 60 miles are considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any facility within this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on the manager's and unit's needs
- Teal top and black pants scrub colors required
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; candidates should take this into account when considering assignments during this period
