Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 38-bed medicine unit, requiring telemetry and IV skills on night shifts.
Details
- 38-bed medicine unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders
- RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends; PCT-to-patient ratio is 1:10
- Strong IV skills are required for this unit
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required every other holiday and as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Prior telemetry Med/Surg unit experience required
- Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed facility may be required depending on assignment location)
- Strong IV skills required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
