Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience in sonography, including general, OB/GYN, and basic vascular imaging, for a hospital-based position in Mankato, MN.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound/sonography department
• Imaging includes general, OB/GYN, and basic vascular studies including arterial Doppler
• 4x10-hour night shifts, primarily Monday–Thursday from 8:00 PM–6:30 AM, transitioning to overnight weekend shifts (Fri–Sun) during the latter weeks of the contract
• Training shift hours are 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Position requires on-site work; no telework available
• EMR: Epic (charting)

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sonography
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program
• ARDMS registration required; RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) or RVT (Vascular Technology) certification required — additional certifications may be required within set timeframes per facility policy
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Active license required, if applicable
• Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, and respond to on-call pager including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Produces high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation in accordance with Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards
• Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths
• Follows proper safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
• COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility
• Date of birth (DOB) is required for consideration
