Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a major academic medical center in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- 13-week contract in a PACU unit at a large academic medical center
- 10-hour rotating shifts with start times of 10:00, 12:00, or 14:00 (latest shift ends at 0:30)
- Day and evening shift rotation
- 2 to 4 weekends required per contract
- No on-call or float requirements
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing experience required
- 2 supervisory references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)
- Flu vaccination required (no religious or medical exemptions; allergy-free option available for documented allergies)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have been employed by this health system within the past 12 months are not eligible
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
