Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical travel position in Texas, specializing in orthopedic and neuro/spine patient care on a night shift schedule.

Details

  • Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with a heavy orthopedic and neuro/spine patient population
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • 13-week contract
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply

Requirements

  • Active TX RN license or multistate compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience as an RN required

Additional Information

  • Candidates who can work Fridays when needed are strongly preferred
  • Flexible scheduling with no scheduling restrictions is strongly preferred
  • First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
  • Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
