Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment in a Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring ACLS and BLS certifications.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology (CIRV) department
- 4 labs total — 3 cardiac and 1 dedicated EP lab
- Patient population includes CAD, NSTEMI, STEMI, heart failure, and aortic stenosis diagnoses
- Average daily caseload of 6–7 cardiac cases and 1–2 vascular IR cases
- EMR is Cerner, currently transitioning to Epic
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Call required 1–2 nights per week with a 30-minute response time
- Weekend call on a 1:3 rotation, with the option to take additional call if desired
- Holiday call coverage is required
- Floating to other areas may be required depending on locum coverage
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Active BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- Proficiency in monitoring, circulating, and scrubbing cardiac and non-cardiac cases
- Experience with Cerner EMR and Merge imaging system
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring, circulating, scrubbing cases, and assisting the MD during cardiac and non-cardiac procedures
- Hospital-supplied scrubs provided
- Unit and hospital orientation required (8 hours)
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date
- Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and will be subject to a reduced bill rate
- 2 professional references are required for consideration — 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience and 1 from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years of relevant experience
