Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring Epic proficiency and stroke thrombectomy experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics
• Covers 4 rooms with an average daily census of 25 patients
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Every third weekend required, no more than 2 weekends per month
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Call is rotated among the team
• Epic (required) and Pyxis used on the unit; SBAR communication framework in practice

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of IR RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Stroke thrombectomy experience required
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them and no holiday RTO will be approved; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two of them and one holiday RTO request may be considered
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• No scheduling requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the listed shift is firm
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Candidates undergo a clinical review process prior to manager consideration
