Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring Epic proficiency and stroke thrombectomy experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics
- Covers 4 rooms with an average daily census of 25 patients
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Every third weekend required, no more than 2 weekends per month
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- Call is rotated among the team
- Epic (required) and Pyxis used on the unit; SBAR communication framework in practice
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of IR RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Stroke thrombectomy experience required
- Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them and no holiday RTO will be approved; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two of them and one holiday RTO request may be considered
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
- No scheduling requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the listed shift is firm
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Candidates undergo a clinical review process prior to manager consideration
