Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a hospital-based position requiring a minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.

Details

• Hospital-based general ultrasound/sonography unit
• 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating within the facility per scope of practice as needed
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound/sonography experience required
• Active professional licensure required at time of consideration, if applicable
• Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period — if one or two major holidays occur, no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
• No alternate shift or schedule requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Full compliance is required prior to the start of the assignment
