Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a NJ or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• 12-bed unit with 11 rooms providing OB Triage, Antepartum, and Delivery care for patients at 32 weeks gestation and above
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every third weekend required
• Floating required to OR and PACU
• 24-hour on-call requirement every 4 weeks
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Novii fetal monitoring system used
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN, and FHM
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Novii fetal monitoring experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries, recovering C-section patients, performing sterile vaginal exams, and triaging obstetrical patients
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• First-time travelers with current Labor & Delivery experience are welcome to apply
• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
