Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with PICU/PEDS/Adult ICU experience for a pediatric-focused travel position at a 440-bed hospital, working day shifts every other weekend.
Details
- Inpatient respiratory therapy position at a 440-bed hospital
- Serves PICU, pediatric, and adult ICU populations, with additional adult floor therapy responsibilities
- Typical caseload averages approximately 15 patients per day, adjusted based on acuity (lower patient load in ICU settings)
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Willing to assist with patient transport at times
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Current MI Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- PICU, pediatric, and adult ICU experience required
- NICU experience preferred
- Current certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and NRP (AHA)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Leader interview required as part of the selection process
- Full availability during orientation week is required
- Assignments are managed on an RVU-based system, averaging approximately 38 RVUs per therapist
