Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of NICU experience and NICU Level II & III background.

  • NICU setting within a hospital environment
  • Level II and Level III NICU experience required
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Late stay on-call required as needed
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active SC or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted if obtained prior to start date
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and NRP Advanced
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
  • NICU Level II and Level III clinical experience required
  • Recent Epic EMR experience preferred
  • 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; RTO requests submitted after the fact will not be honored
  • Orientation includes pass/fail testing: Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test (required for all units) and Moderate Sedation Test (required for ICU); travelers have one attempt to pass
  • The facility maintains an attendance policy for travelers — missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review and potential cancellation
