Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience, including proficiency in acute care imaging, trauma, and fluoroscopic studies, for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care teaching hospital in Columbia, SC.
Details
- Acute care regional teaching hospital designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- X-Ray department serving a diverse patient population including ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR settings
- Proficiency in bedside/portable X-ray, trauma imaging, C-arm procedures, and fluoroscopic studies (e.g., barium swallow/esophagram) is expected
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- No on-call requirement
- Floating to other units or campuses per facility policy based on census, limited to units and tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience accepted for candidates with full-time Level I Trauma and Children's Hospital experience, including OR and fluoroscopic study experience; 2 years preferred for all other candidates
- Level I Trauma and Children's Hospital experience required for 1-year candidates
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- Current BLS required
- Active SC license required (license required if applicable)
- Epic EMR experience required, minimum 1 year
- Ability to perform all aspects of X-ray independently
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- First-time travelers will not be considered
Additional Information
- Perform acute care diagnostic imaging across multiple hospital settings including ER, OR, ICU, NICU, and PICU
- Conduct bedside/portable X-ray, trauma imaging, C-arm procedures, and fluoroscopic studies such as barium swallow and esophagram
- Candidates must be willing to adapt to equipment-specific training as needed
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of booking and are subject to facility approval
- This is a 641-licensed-bed academic teaching hospital and part of South Carolina's largest nonprofit healthcare system
