Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Surgical ICU position in Ohio, requiring 2 years of recent ICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Works in a Surgical ICU (SICU) at an academic medical center in Ohio
• Day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Schedule includes every Saturday, every Sunday, and one additional weekday each week
• 36 hours per week
• Floating is required
• On-call responsibilities are required
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Medication systems include Pyxis, Accudose, and Omnicell
• SBAR communication framework utilized

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet; detailed instructions will be provided by the credentialing team
