Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a hospital in the Baltimore area, with telemetry and IV skills required and every-other-weekend availability.
Details
- 13-week contract, 36 hours per week
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- 38-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders
- RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends; PCT-to-patient ratio is 1:10
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required on a rotating and as-needed basis
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Prior Med/Surg Telemetry unit experience required
- Strong IV skills required
- Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed facility preferred for large academic medical center assignments)
