Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a BSN, 2 years of ICU experience, and proficiency with advanced cardiac support devices including IABPs and Impellas.
Details
- Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes post-operative cardiac surgery patients (CABG and valve procedures) requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and mechanical circulatory support
- Rotating day and night shifts (Days: 0645–1915, Nights: 1845–0715)
- Every 3rd weekend required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- 1 holiday required
- No on-call required
- May float to any Adult ICU or Telemetry unit when CVICU census is low
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active PA RN license or compact RN license required
- BSN required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Proficiency with CRRT/CVVHD, hemodynamic monitoring, IABPs, and Impellas required
- Experience caring for post-operative heart surgery patients (CABG and valve procedures) required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those on advanced mechanical circulatory support
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted but at a different pay rate
