Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Richmond, KY, working night shifts with weekend requirements in a 19-bed ED serving all ages and acuity levels.

• 19-bed, 4-chair Emergency Department with a clinical decision unit
• Cares for patients of all ages and acuity levels
• Dedicated spaces for critical care and fast-track treatment for non-emergent patients
• Night shift: 7p–7a, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in KY or a compact state currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and NIHSS
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred
• MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and treatment implementation across all phases of the nursing process
• Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Delegates and oversees patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing
• Provides patient and family-centered education tailored to age, culture, and comprehension level
