Description
American Traveler is hiring a Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist with 2 years of experience for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment at a hospital in Northport, AL.
Details
- Inpatient OT rehab setting within an acute care hospital
- Day shift, Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM
- One weekend shift required per month
- Holiday coverage required
- Patient population includes geriatric, neurological, stroke, and amputation cases
- Floating to other units is required
- EMR system is Meditech (experience not required)
Requirements
- Current Alabama OT license required; no pending or temporary licenses accepted; no hits on license (past or current) allowed; license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in the OT specialty
- AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
- NIH certification required
- Active, unrestricted OT license in good standing with no disciplinary history
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient evaluations, formulating and collaborating on plans of care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, performing therapeutic interventions, patient education, and completing all documentation requirements
- No HealthStream modules required prior to start — competency-based modules will be completed during virtual orientation
- Timekeeping is conducted through Centricity
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rates with no radius restrictions
- Required documents for consideration include: current Driver's License, two professional references from within the last year, skills checklist, and active state or compact OT license verification
- Scrubs/dress code: no specific color requirements
