Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel IMCU (Intermediate Care) position in La Porte, IN, requiring ACLS certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of critical care experience.

Details

• Fast-paced Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) within a hospital setting
• 30-bed telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to Med/Surg may be required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date)
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent critical care experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration; holiday coverage is subject to facility need and blackout dates may apply
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past two years are not eligible for this position
• RTO requests of one week or more in duration are not permitted
