Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Jefferson City, TN, requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• 12-week travel contract in a hospital Emergency Department
• 16-bed ED unit with a 4:1 variable patient ratio
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• EMR: FirstNet (Cerner) — experience preferred
• Patient care scope includes triage, critical care drip management, IV/IO, chest tube management, urinary catheterization, and cardiac monitoring

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP — no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• CPI certification required (may be obtained on-site after contract start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required
• Proficiency in critical care assessment and management, IV skills, and cardiac monitoring
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient triage, critical thinking and assessment, and performing nursing skills such as IV/IO access, chest tube management, catheterization, and critical care drip administration
• Royal blue scrubs required
• RTO must be requested in advance, kept to less than 1 week, and made up at the end of the contract
• RTO blackout period: Labor Day
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
