Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department mid-shift position requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Services unit with 16 beds
• Variable patient ratio of 4:1
• Mid shift schedule from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements
• No 48-hour shift requirements
• Uses FirstNet - Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• CPI certification required, may be obtained on-site after contract start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience
• Critical care assessment and management skills
• IV skills and cardiac monitoring competency
• Skills in triage, critical thinking, and assessment
• Experience with IV/IO, chest tube management, catheterization, and critical care drips

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient triage, critical care assessment, and management of emergency interventions
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue
• RTO requests must be made in advance and made up at the end of the contract
• RTO blackout during Labor Day
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Not eligible if previously worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
