Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Open Heart ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift scheduling and every-other-weekend requirements.

Details

• Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU) is a 10-bed ICU in an acute care hospital setting
• Cares for critically ill and post-operative cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, and general surgery patients aged 18 and older
• Procedures include invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, arrhythmia monitoring and intervention, pacemaker/ICD management, IABP management, CRRT, VAD management, and ECMO
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift: 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• May float to all ICU floors and med/surg floors as needed
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be prepared to pass an EKG exam on the first attempt — failure risks contract cancellation

• May be assigned to care for COVID-positive patients
