Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma facility, requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience including liver and kidney cases.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room unit with potential floating to the GI unit or an outpatient surgery center
• Patient population includes Level I Trauma, liver, and kidney cases
• Shift schedule consists of two 12-hour shifts (6:45a–7:15p) and two 8-hour shifts (6:45a–3:15p) per week
• Two weekend shifts (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing) required per 6-week schedule cycle
• Holiday requirements include one summer and one winter holiday call shift, plus one summer and one winter holiday work shift (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• Charting system: Cerner

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or Compact RN license required
• BSN required
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• At least 2–3 years of Level I Trauma experience required
• Liver and kidney case experience required
• Trauma certification required
• Scrub and circulate experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted but at a different pay rate
