Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level I Trauma hospital in Philadelphia, PA, requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience including liver and kidney cases.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level I Trauma hospital setting
• Patient population includes complex surgical cases with liver and kidney procedures
• Primary shift is days, Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (5x8 hours)
• Per 6-week schedule, two weekend night shifts (8 or 12 hours) are required
• One summer and one winter holiday shift required (8 or 12 hours each)
• Travelers may float to the GI unit or an outpatient surgery center
• Charting system: Cerner

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license required
• BSN required
• Current certifications: BLS and Trauma certification required
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• At least 2–3 years of Level I Trauma experience required
• Liver and kidney surgical case experience required
• Scrub and circulate experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility are accepted but at a different pay rate
• Holiday call coverage required: one summer and one winter on-call shift (8 or 12 hours each)
