Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel contract in a cardiology diagnostics unit, requiring RDCS or CCI certification and a minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience.
Details
- Cardiology Diagnostics (ECG) unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 5 days per week
- On-call required 1–2 days per week
- Every 4th weekend shift required
- Rotational holiday coverage required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI certification required
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
- License required if applicable
- Associate's Degree in Ultrasound required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant healthcare experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow
Additional Information
- Performs routine and complex echocardiographic imaging procedures following departmental guidelines, including critiquing positioning, technical factors, and image alignment
- Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness; maintains thorough and accurate documentation
- Cross-trains to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services
- Assists performing physicians and sonographers in delivering high-quality echocardiographic exams
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 continuous year at Carle Health; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any Carle Health location
