Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience across ICU, ER, and nursery settings for a night shift position at a 159-bed hospital in Biddeford, ME.

Details

• Work in a 159-bed hospital floating to all areas, including ICU, ER, nursery (Level 1), and Med/Surg floors
• Patient population spans newborn to adult, including high-risk deliveries, critically ill pediatric patients, and adult ICU patients
• Equipment includes Drager V500 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, NeoPuff, and RAM cannula
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Night shift schedule
• Floating required to all areas of the hospital, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience working in an adult ICU required
• Experience in a nursery setting, including attending high-risk deliveries and serving as part of the resuscitation team, required
• Experience treating pediatric patients in the ER, including intubation and mechanical ventilation, required
• Experience with Drager V500, Hamilton T-1, NeoP uff, and related respiratory equipment required
• Epic EMR experience required
• NICU and/or PICU experience preferred
• Strong assessment skills required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all hospital units, from newborns to adults
• Participate as part of the resuscitation team for high-risk deliveries
• Education modules are assigned during onboarding and throughout the contract via the facility's Learning Management System
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Candidates located within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (residents of Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and are subject to a different pay rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
