Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 1 year of experience and flexibility to circulate across multiple surgical service lines.

Details

• Operating Room unit supporting multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics surgery
• 13-week assignment with a 09:00-19:30 shift
• Weekend rotation required
• Participation in assigned call required

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
• Computer skills for utilizing patient care documentation systems

Additional Information

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical exam, and diagnostic data analysis
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team members while managing urgent or emergent interventions
• Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Prep operating room and position patients for procedures
• Perform circulating duties efficiently within or outside the sterile field as assigned
• Serve as communication liaison between surgical team and patient families
• Assist with control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
