Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shifts and certifications in BLS, Fetal Monitoring, and NRP, with willingness to float to Med/Surg.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital L&D unit covering Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Postpartum, and OB
• Unit consists of 3 L&D beds with postpartum care in-room plus 2 overflow postpartum rooms
• Facility averages 120–130 births per year
• Fetal monitoring system used is PeriCalm; EMR is Athena
• CNA/OB tech support is shared between Med/Surg and L&D
• CRNA is available on an as-needed basis; no in-house OB or neonatologist — only family practice providers
• Pharmacy is on-call (not 24/7)
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Floating to Med/Surg is required as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active UT or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• Scrubs may be any solid color
• No orientation hours are included with this assignment
