Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of experience and current NM licensure (if applicable).
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy setting
- Shift hours: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- No blocked scheduling accommodated
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Doctorate, Master's, Bachelor's, or Associate's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Current New Mexico PT license required if applicable
- BLS certification from the AHA required
- Active certifications must be included for consideration — expired certifications will result in rejection
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Strong assessment, evaluation, decision-making, and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and administering physical therapy modalities such as therapeutic exercise, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility training
- Collaborates with patients, families, referring physicians, and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team throughout the care process
- Directs and oversees PT Assistants and Rehabilitation Assistants during treatments
- Co-signs progress notes written by PT Assistants with temporary licensure and completes discharge summaries
- Responsible for maintaining accurate treatment documentation and ensuring charges correlate with treatment sessions
- Participates in quality assurance, performance improvement, and continuing education activities
- Dress code: khaki pants and white polo
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
