Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Iowa, requiring 24 months of ED experience, active IA or compact RN license, and proficiency with cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips.

Details

• 16-bed Emergency Department unit
• Patient ratio of 3:1
• Emergency patient population including a wide range of critical care and emergency medicine cases
• Telemetry monitoring and reading required as part of daily practice
• Drip/titration management required, including cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin, as well as all critical care and emergency medicine drips
• Epic EMR in use

Requirements

• Active Iowa (IA) single-state or compact/multistate RN license required
• Minimum 24 months of current ED/ER experience required
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Current AHA ACLS certification required
• Current AHA PALS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (may be obtained during onboarding)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) certification required
• Drip/titration experience required, including cardiac, insulin, heparin, and all critical care/emergency medicine drips
• Telemetry measurement and interpretation experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Supervisory professional reference or performance evaluation from within the past 24 months preferred

• Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Grey solid scrubs required
• Travelers are required to work 1–2 of the 3 summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
• Candidates employed by the facility within the 12 months prior to the contract start may not be eligible for consideration
