Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care position in Illinois requiring 2 years of cardiac stepdown experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift patient ratio is 1:4-5; night shift patient ratio is 1:5-1:6
• Charge nurses factor in each nurse's level of cardiac experience when making assignments
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating may be required within the same discipline across local campuses

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; an active Iowa RN license is also required, or proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact RN license
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC required; pending certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of current Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• A valid driver's license is required
• A supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years is preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
• Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• During the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's holiday windows, a maximum of 1 day of time-off requests will be allowed per traveler
• Candidates who were employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
