Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a Level III Trauma hospital in Beckley, WV, requiring at least 1 year of endoscopy experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• GI/Endoscopy unit at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission-accredited hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 4-bed endoscopy unit
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, with additional weekend hours as needed
• On-call responsibilities required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active WV RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy RN experience required
• Proficiency with EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and feeding tube placements preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Orientation is held biweekly on Wednesdays
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Travelers who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Navy blue scrubs required; hospital OR scrubs also acceptable — casual wear is not permitted
• The facility is an academic teaching hospital offering extern programs for nursing and allied health students
