Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift, every-other-weekend position requiring active MA RN licensure and the ability to interpret telemetry strips.

Details

• 32-bed private Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit admitting other medical overflow patients
• Patient population includes scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fractures, and general medical overflow
• Clinician to patient ratio is 1:4 (up to 1:5) on day/evening shifts and 1:5 or 1:6 on nights
• Night shift schedule of 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
• Night shift does not rotate; day rotators may shift between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a as needed
• Floating to applicable units required when requested
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required; conditional licenses not accepted
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in one location and 2 years of experience as a traveler required
• Med/Surg RN skill set with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care to orthopedic, neuro, and general medical overflow patients
• Perform neuro assessments and monitor telemetry strips for assigned patients
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility, with rate adjustments applying
• Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
• Parking is not validated; public transportation or paid public parking lots are available near the facility
