Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehab position at a hospital in California, with flexibility to float between inpatient, acute rehab, and outpatient settings.

Details

• Hospital-based position within an inpatient rehab unit, with the ability to float between inpatient, acute rehab unit (ARU), and outpatient rehab as needed
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00–16:30)
• Friday through Tuesday work week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current CA Physical Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program required
• Experience in acute care and inpatient rehab settings required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physical treatment programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore physical function
• Develops and updates patient Plans of Care (POC) based on evaluation findings and clinical diagnosis
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members and other healthcare providers
• Provides clinical supervision to PT assistants and aides, and may serve as a clinical instructor for students
• Participates in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
• Must maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
