Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy for an outpatient setting, with CHT certification preferred and splinting experience required.

• Outpatient OT setting specializing in hand therapy
• Patient population focuses on hand-related diagnoses and conditions
• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements
• No floating to other units
• Equipment used includes splinting materials, blood flow restriction devices, and a therapy pool
• Charting is performed in Epic

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
• SD state licensure required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential granted by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) required; may be waived based on experience
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience accepted
• Splinting skills required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities center on hand therapy evaluation and treatment in an outpatient setting
• Supervised by Rehab Supervisors
• Orientation is 5–7 days
• No holiday coverage expectations
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require supervisor approval
• Scrub color required: pewter/dark grey/granite

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior experience and setting
• 2 professional references dated within the past year are required for consideration
• DOB and SSN are required for consideration
