Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy for an outpatient setting, with CHT certification preferred and splinting experience required.
Details
- Outpatient OT setting specializing in hand therapy
- Patient population focuses on hand-related diagnoses and conditions
- 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements
- No floating to other units
- Equipment used includes splinting materials, blood flow restriction devices, and a therapy pool
- Charting is performed in Epic
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- SD state licensure required; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential granted by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) required; may be waived based on experience
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience accepted
- Splinting skills required
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities center on hand therapy evaluation and treatment in an outpatient setting
- Supervised by Rehab Supervisors
- Orientation is 5–7 days
- No holiday coverage expectations
- RTO requests exceeding 7 days require supervisor approval
- Scrub color required: pewter/dark grey/granite
- Free parking available on-site
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior experience and setting
- 2 professional references dated within the past year are required for consideration
- DOB and SSN are required for consideration
- Opportunity to extend through 26 weeks for candidates interested in staying through the holidays
