Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications on an evening/weekend schedule.

Details

• Works in a hospital Emergency Department providing urgent and emergency medical care
• Evening shift, 11a–11p, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Weekend-heavy schedule: some positions require Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability; at least one position requires weekend and holiday coverage
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC
• Minimum education: ADN or ASN; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred but not required
• Date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, discharge coordination, and quality improvement participation
• Nursing practice is evidence-based and incorporates all four phases of the nursing process with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Collaborates with an inter-professional care team including case management and other disciplines
• Considers patient culture, age, and developmental level in all aspects of care delivery
