Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 3 years of acute hospital experience and ARDMS certifications in AB, OB, and RVT for a 13-week travel assignment in Hawaii.

- Acute care hospital imaging department
- Modalities include general ultrasound (abdominal/OB) and vascular sonography
- Procedures include abdominal (aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, renal), GYN (breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis, transvaginal, adult and pediatric), OB (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester, amniocentesis, biophysical profile, placental grading, IUGR), neonatal (congenital anomalies, neonatal head), superficial structures (breast, scrotum/testes, thyroid, focal masses), and vascular (carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex)
- Interventional procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasound
- Primary equipment includes Canon i700 ultrasound system and Fuji Synapse PACS
- EMR: Meditech
- Variable shift schedule with 40-hour work weeks
- On-call responsibilities as appropriate
- Floating to other units or departments required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a sonographer in an acute care hospital setting
- At least one prior travel contract required
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Competency in general, OB, GYN, vascular, neonatal, superficial structure, and interventional ultrasound required
- State license required if applicable
Additional Information
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment is held at the facility's Employee Health office and attendance is mandatory
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before their Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
- Personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire required
