Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week night shift contract in an Acute Surgical Unit, requiring a GA or compact RN license and a minimum 50-mile distance from the facility.

Details

• Acute Surgical Unit within a hospital setting
• High-volume unit discharging and admitting 8–15 patients daily from the ED, PACU, or as direct admits
• An ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse is available on the unit to assist with patient flow
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3 shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current AHA certifications required (must not be expired)
• Prior Med/Surg or acute surgical nursing experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• This is a fast-paced unit with a high daily patient turnover — candidates should be comfortable managing frequent admissions and discharges
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a minimum 2-year break from the facility before being considered
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — requests cannot be made after an offer is accepted
