Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Perioperative Circulator role in an adult surgery unit, requiring at least 1 year of acute OR experience and Level 1 trauma experience.

• Adult Surgery unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• 6+ months of Level 1 trauma experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
• CNOR certification preferred

Additional Information

• Plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates individualized nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
• Responsible for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care within the perioperative environment
• Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous travelers who have completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply again
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — the facility does not allow delayed start dates due to non-compliance
