Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and dual ARRT (R & CT) certification for an overnight shift at an orthopedic specialty hospital in Manhattan.
Details
- Orthopedic specialty hospital setting in Manhattan near Union Square
- Inpatient and outpatient imaging department serving pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Orthopedic-focused caseload with exams performed in exam rooms and via portable equipment
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- X-ray procedures include extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Daily caseload of up to 20 patients; low volume on the overnight shift with independent working expectations
- Candidate may be rotated across multiple departments within the hospital or at an affiliated outpatient location across the street
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings
- 5x8-hour night shifts, midnight to 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday
- Epic EMR preferred but not required
- First two weeks of the assignment will be on day shift for orientation and training before transitioning to the regular overnight schedule
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Active ARRT certification in both Radiography (R) and CT
- Valid, active NYS license required; license required if applicable
- IV Certification required
- DOHNYS certification required
- Current BLS required
- Experience operating Siemens CT equipment required
- Proficiency performing both CT scans and X-rays required
- Comfortable working independently in a low-volume overnight environment
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment in excess of 150 lbs, with or without assistive devices
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- COVID vaccination is required with no exceptions
- RTO of 5 days or less is permitted; no RTO allowed within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Complimentary parking is available in an assigned employee garage; street parking is also available nearby
