Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical position requiring a NM or Compact RN license, with day shift scheduling and first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting with 32 beds
- Day shift schedule (4x12 hours), 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 or 48-hour weekly shift options available
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Rapid response team activation responsibilities
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to like units required
- 6 weekend shifts required within every 6-week period
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required; Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
