Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level 4 NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a children's hospital academic medical center.

Details

  • Position is based in a children's hospital NICU at an academic medical center
  • Level 4 NICU setting
  • Night shift hours: 19:00–07:00 (4x12-hour shifts)
  • 36 or 48 hours available per week
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Unit uses a self-scheduling model; schedule preferences will be accommodated when possible but are not guaranteed
  • EMR: Epic experience required for float pool and inpatient units
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • RRT certification required and must be held in-hand at time of consideration
  • Current VA license required; candidates may submit with VA license pending provided they can obtain a temporary license before the start date — a license from another state is required to be eligible for the temporary license
  • License required if applicable
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
  • Cardiac PICU experience preferred
  • Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Driver's license and Social Security card copies required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal patients in a Level 4 NICU
  • No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
