Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and NY licensure (if applicable) for a 13-week acute care assignment
Details
- . Adult acute care hospital setting
- MRI Tech unit
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Uses Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI large bore system and BRACCO power injector
- Candidates will be required to float
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- NY state license required if applicable
- Experience with abdominal, pelvic, head, neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI imaging
- Proficiency with MRA, MRV, MRCP, and thoracic MRA studies
- Skilled in gradient echo imaging, spin echo imaging, MIP, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Experience with T1 and T2 weighted imaging and surface coils
- Competent in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, and starting peripheral IVs
- Experience with spinal trauma imaging
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
- Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as needed
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- No color requirement for scrubs, and scrubs are not provided
- First-time travelers will be considered if they have significant experience
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
- Returning staff must wait 6 months system-wide before reapplying
