Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Oncology unit position requiring telemetry experience and a minimum of one year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical Oncology floor in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 3x12-hour shifts preferred, 4x12-hour shifts also considered
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Patient ratio is 1:6 or 1:7; experience with higher patient ratios is required
• Block scheduling will be considered
• EMR system is Cerner and Soarian
• Telemetry monitoring and IV starts are required skills

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Experience with higher patient ratios (1:6 or 1:7) required
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and IV insertion required
• Driver's license (DL) and Social Security card (SSN) required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Oncology experience is highly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
• Royal blue scrubs are required and are not provided by the facility
• Minimal to no time off (RTO) requests will be accommodated for this assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered; candidates residing between 31–50 miles are eligible but may be subject to a local pay rate
• 13-week assignment with possibility of extension
