Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology/Med-Surg unit position requiring recent trauma experience, chemotherapy administration skills, and a NH or compact RN license.
Details
- 24-bed Hematology/Oncology/Gynecologic Oncology and Med-Surg unit, plus a 9-bed Hematology and Cellular Therapy unit
- Most common diagnoses include lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancers
- Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing treatment side effects, and caring for patients receiving radiation therapy and radioisotopes
- Day/night rotating shifts, 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Experience with chest tubes and critical drips (e.g., Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone) preferred
- Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients preferred
- Experience with trachs, laryngectomies, telemetry, and complex wound care preferred
- Central line care, maintenance, and blood draw experience preferred
- Two manager references required for consideration
