Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Ortho/Neuro Unit position at a hospital and trauma center in Janesville, WI, requiring an active WI RN license, NIHSS certification, and day shift availability.
Details
- Ortho/Neuro Unit in an acute care hospital and trauma center setting
- Patient population includes orthopedic and neurological cases
- Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating to other units may be required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Education verification required for consideration
- Experienced nurses preferred; prior Ortho/Neuro or Med-Surg experience strongly recommended
Additional Information
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient plans of care
- Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and state practice standards
- Applies critical thinking skills to support patient safety and escalates concerns through the appropriate chain of command
- May participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
