Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Irving, TX, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and active TX RN licensure.

• Hospital inpatient Labor & Delivery unit
• Day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with varied days
• Weekend availability required
• On-call is optional, not required
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license (or compact license with TX authorization) required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Required certifications: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, NRP, ACLS, and BLS (AHA only)
• RNC-OB or C-EFM certification preferred
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Conducts clinical assessments, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and evaluates patient responses using the nursing process
• Delegates tasks appropriately in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act and patient acuity
• Collaborates interdependently with the healthcare team to deliver integrated patient care
• Hospital scrubs are provided
• Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions accepted (typically required August–November)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
• Candidates who have previously worked as a permanent employee at this health system may have limited eligibility
