Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Unit (Med/Surg) travel position in Janesville, WI, requiring a current WI or compact RN license and every other weekend availability.
Details
- Medical/surgical adult patient population in a hospital setting
- Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating to other units may be required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Flu vaccination required
- Education verification required
Additional Information
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient plans of care
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and standards of care
- Documents patient care according to established standards
- Applies clinical expertise in support of patients' longitudinal care plans across units and departments
- Utilizes critical thinking to prioritize patient safety and escalates concerns through the appropriate chain of command
- May participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
